SAN DIEGO (CBS 8) - News 8 cameras caught up with Mayor Filner Friday morning. It's the first time he's been seen since his taped apology Thursday, following accusations of sexual harassment.

News 8 has also learned that three of Filner's former supporters are still demanding that he resign. A tweet posted on Marco Gonzalez's Twitter feed Friday morning read:

"Frye, Gonzalez, and Briggs stand by original demand, video notwithstanding. Additional information to be provided next week."

Former Councilwoman Donna Frye and lawyers Cory Briggs and Gonzalez sent letters to the mayor earlier this week urging him to step down following the allegations of sexual harassment. They reiterated their call for Filner's resignation in a news conference Thursday morning. As of this report, the details of the claims have not been released.

Later Thursday afternoon, Filner released a statement via DVD that stated in part, "As someone who has spent a lifetime fighting for equality for all people, I am embarrassed to admit that I have failed to fully respect the women who work for me and with me, and that at times I have intimidated them."

The mayor said he had started working with professionals to make changes in his behavior and approach, and would participate in sexual harassment training.
