SAN DIEGO (CNS) - High-end burglars who hit a Rancho Santa Fe home for about $5 million in artwork and jewelry were at large Tuesday, and sheriff's detectives asked for the public's help in finding them.

The burglary occurred between 9 p.m. June 17 and 6 a.m. June 18, but sheriff's detectives did not disclose the address. The burglars took artwork, including 11 paintings, valued at more than $1 million, and prints by Claude Monet and Camille Pissarro, according to detectives.

Also taken were 20 sculptures by Andreas von Zadora-Gerlof and Chinese sculptures, valued at about $3 million, as well as gold, tourmaline, diamond, cabochon and citrine necklace and bracelet sets, worth about $100,000 per set, authorities said.

The median annual income in Rancho Santa Fe in 2010 was estimated at $188,859, ranking it as one of the highest income areas in the nation with a population of more than 1,000. Rancho Santa Fe had about 3,100 residents in 2010.

Anyone with more information about the burglary was asked to call the sheriff's department's Encinitas Station at (858) 966-3500, or Crime Stoppers at (888) 580-8477; email, sdcrimestoppers.com.
