SAN DIEGO (CNS) - Gang detectives Wednesday investigated a street robbery in which a 22-year-old man was stabbed in the hand while his cell phone was being taken by seven or eight assailants, police said.
The man was attacked by the group in the 1300 block of South 43rd Street about 11:10 p.m. Tuesday, according to San Diego police Officer Dino Delimitros. The group issued a gang challenge immediately before attacking, he said in a statement.
The victim was expected to survive.
