The Joint Venture will Deploy Equipment for Recycling Seawater and Brackish Water while Producing Electricity from the Process.
MIDLAND, Texas, Sept. 18, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- STW Resources Holding Corp. (OTC QB: STWS) announced today a mutual strategic relationship with Tat-Tech, Inc. to remediate oil sands waste, brackish ground water and seawater via the construction and operation of proprietary systems developed by Tat-Tech.
Tat-Tech's High Frequency Electro Induction System utilizes elemental frequencies that result in the production of electricity for on-site consumption, with the excess generation converted into AC power and transmitted via power line infrastructure to end consumers. Simultaneously, the System processes saline laden waters to recover fresh water that meets potable standards. Each containerized cell has the capability to process approximately 1,000,000 gallons of influent, with an average 80% recovery of fresh water and generation of (1) MW of electricity or approximately 24,000 kWh per day.
STW Chief Executive Officer, Stanley Weiner, said, "I have observed the efficacy of this technology when Tat-Tech processed some seawater in its lab system. We had the effluent tested at a certified third-party laboratory and the resulting analyses confirmed that the process works. We are now building a larger demonstration unit to perform pilot tests for customers. With the ability to process salt water into potable water and the extra benefit of producing electricity, this technology will have worldwide implications."
"STW is implementing a marketing plan to commercialize this technology," said Lee Maddox, STW Chief Operating Officer, "We are also in discussions with potential industry partners to co-develop the technology for various applications internationally."
STW Resources Holdings Corp. consults and provides customized water analysis, reclamation and remediation services to a variety of complex industrial and municipal applications throughout several geographic locations. As an independent solutions provider, STW utilizes proven technologies from various well-known manufacturers. These technologies are available as fixed or mobile units with varying capabilities. STW's process ensures that the most effective and efficient technologies are implemented. Current potential project locations include the Eagle Ford Shale (TX), west Texas Delaware and Permian Basins (TX), and New Mexico. STW is also involved in the oilfield construction business providing road, pit, location, and water pond construction. It also offers evaporation covers for the elimination of evaporation on frac ponds used through out the oilfield. It is a conservational and economic method of preserving one of our natural resources and can be floated on to existing ponds or installed during construction. It also eliminates algae growth, doubles as a bird net, and reduces erosion of pond infrastructure. High quality liners with fusion-welded seams, quality control testing including air tests of seams and destruction testing are also offered.
