CrimeFighters Manhunt: Charles Anthony Tooma

SAN DIEGO (CBS 8) - The News 8 CrimeFighters are helping authorities in a countywide manhunt looking for a violent fugitive who's been on the run for over a decade.

Charles Anthony Tooma is wanted by the U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force for attempted murder and assault with a deadly weapon. He's accused of a 1999 assault in Fallbrook that caused severe injuries to the victim. He's been on the run ever since.

Tooma has used multiple aliases and has a violent criminal history that includes auto theft, assault with a deadly weapon and forgery. He should be considered armed and dangerous.

He's 6 feet, 1 inch tall, weighs 205 pounds and has brown hair and hazel eyes. His last known residence was in Temecula.
