Lions, Tigers and Bears says goodbye to beloved Raja

SAN DIEGO (CBS 8) - Lions, Tigers and Bears is mourning the loss of one of its beloved patriarchs Tuesday.

Raja the Bengal tiger lost his battle with kidney disease on Monday.

He came to San Diego in 2002 with his mate Natasha. The pair had two cubs. One of them, Tabu, still lives at the animal rescue with Natasha.

Lions, Tigers and Bears is asking that in lieu of flowers, donations be made for the care of his family.

Raja was 17 years old.
