CrimeFighters Manhunt: Juan Maldonado Lopez

Posted: Updated:

SAN DIEGO (CBS 8) - The News 8 CrimeFighters are helping authorities in a countywide manhunt tonight looking for a registered sex offender who may have been hiding out in Mexico for a few years.

The California Parole Apprehension Team is on the hunt for 54-year-old Juan Maldonado Lopez.

Lopez has a history of child molestation and is wanted for parole violations. We featured him back in 2010, but authorities believe he was likely living south of the border at the time. They also believe he may have gotten comfortable and come back into San Diego, specifically the Oceanside and Vista Area.

Lopez is 5 feet,10 inches tall, weighs 210 pounds and has black hair and brown eyes.

If you have any information, please call San Diego Crime Stoppers at (888) 580-TIPS.

Crime Stoppers is offering a reward for information that leads to an arrest, and you can remain anonymous.
