Chargers take on Colts Monday night at Qualcomm

The San Diego Chargers are warning fans to expect additional travel delays for Monday's game due to rush-hour traffic.

SAN DIEGO (CBS 8) - The Chargers host the Indianapolis Colts Monday night at the Q. The game kicks off at 5:40 p.m.

The Bolts are coming off their loss to the Raiders last week. The last time the Chargers played on Monday night was the season opener - Eddie Royal busted loose for two touchdowns and the Chargers built a 21 point lead before losing to Houston.

For Monday night's game, the Colts say stopping Philip Rivers is the key.

The parking lot at Qualcomm Stadium will open at 1:40 p.m. for the 5:40 p.m. game. Because the parking lot routinely fills early, fans are encouraged to carpool or use public transportation.

Fans taking the Trolley should board at least two hours before the game to avoid delays. Fans attempting to board trains after 3 p.m. should expect delays, particularly at stops closest to the stadium. By 4 p.m., most Trolley cars will be filled to capacity.

Traffic, Trolley and parking lot updates from the stadium will be available on Twitter at chargersgameday.
