LA MESA (CBS 8) - The San Diego Chargers followed up their big win on the field against Indianapolis Monday with a big win off the field at a local high school.
The team has been helping Helix Charter High School rebuild its weight lifting facility, and on Tuesday some players visited to check out the new equipment.
Helix is just one of several schools benefitting from the Chargers' annual grant. Elementary and middle schools across the county also received money to build everything from running tracks to salad bars to help promote healthier eating options.
