Chargers guard Rinehart ruled out for Jaguars

Posted: Updated:

SAN DIEGO (AP) — Chargers left guard Chad Rinehart has been ruled out of Sunday's game against the winless Jacksonville Jaguars and inside linebacker Donald Butler is doubtful.

Neither Rinehart (toe) nor Butler (groin) was able to play in Monday's victory over the Indianapolis Colts.

Rinehart will be replaced by rookie Johnnie Troutman, who was called for two false start penalties on Monday.

Andrew Gachkar would likely start in Butler's place, although Reggie Walker would also see snaps at the position.

Signs point to wide receiver Eddie Royal not being able to play after he hurt his toe on Monday.

The Chargers (3-3) are attempting to get above the .500 mark for the first time this season before entering their bye week.
