Rescued dolphin dives back into life in the wild

Posted: Updated:

SAN DIEGO (CBS 8) - A one-year-old dolphin named TJ is back in the wild, after he was rescued by SeaWorld on a beach five months ago near Tijuana.

The dolphin was near death when they brought him to the park's animal care center and after months of rehab, he was finally healthy enough to be released back into the ocean.

CBS News 8's video editor Joel Matis shows us the lengths SeaWorld went to save TJ in the above video.

SeaWorld has a transmitter on the dolphin. He's staying with his pod and is diving and eating.
