CHULA VISTA (CBS 8) - A suspect was arrested Tuesday afternoon following a high-speed chase in an Otay Mesa neighborhood.
It began when police attempted to pull over the driver of a maroon Acura after he ran a red light on Camino Del Plaza near I-805.
The chase reached speeds of 100 miles per hour before the suspect set off on foot. Two others in the vehicle were taken into custody for questioning, but were not arrested.
Several officers used a K-9 to search homes in a cul-de-sac at Coleus Court and Fuchsia Lane and suspended the search shortly before taking a man into custody in the 4000 block of Palm Avenue.
