Man stabbed with screwdriver during argument

SAN DIEGO (CNS) - Police Saturday were investigating an attack on a 25-year-old man who was stabbed outside the city library in San Ysidro during an argument with a suspect who pulled a screwdriver.

The stabbing happened around 12:20 p.m. at the library at 101 W. San Ysidro Blvd., said San Diego police Officer Frank Cali.

The victim suffered wounds to a shoulder and hand and was taken to a hospital for treatment, Cali said.

The suspect fled and remains at large, he said.

He is described as Hispanic, in his mid 20s and 5 feet 8 inches tall. He was wearing a blue Chargers hat, a light blue shirt and white shorts.
