VISTA (CNS) - A 58-year-old man was stabbed in his face and chest during a robbery attempt in a Vista parking lot, and the alleged assailant was later arrested, a sheriff's official said Saturday.
Sheriff's deputies dispatched to investigate a report of a battery in the 200 block of S. Santa Fe Drive near E. Broadway at about 10 p.m. Friday, found the wounded man lying on the ground, sheriff's Lt. Dave Schaller said.
Deputies searched the area and found a woman wearing bloody clothing at a nearby McDonalds restaurant, Schaller said.
Schaller said deputies found a knife in the woman's possession and she was detained.
The injured man was taken to a hospital, Schaller said.
