Closures in observance of Veterans Day

SAN DIEGO (CNS) - Most government offices will be closed Monday for the Veterans Day holiday.

Trash pickup will take place as usual for residential customers served by Waste Management and the city of San Diego.

In San Diego, municipal administrative offices, libraries, pools and recreations centers will be closed.

The Miramar Landfill will be open from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. The landfill's container sales office will be closed.

Municipal golf courses, Chollas Lake and the Mission Trails Regional Park visitors center will be open.

Parking meters will not be enforced.

County offices, libraries, animal shelters and community centers will be closed.

However, county parks, campgrounds, neighborhood day-use parks will be open as normal.

Metropolitan Transit System buses and trolleys, and North County Transit District buses and trains, will operate on a normal weekday schedule.
