OCEANSIDE (CBS 8) - A community came together to help the grieving families of four fallen Camp Pendleton Marines.

Tthe Draft Restaurant and Sports Bar in Oceanside hosted a fundraiser Saturday for the families of the Marines killed in an ordinance accident on base last week.

Donation boxes with their pictures were place throughout the restaurant. Friends say it's all about respect and compassion.

"Talking to one of the wives - she lost her husband - her kid's father... The money? She probably could care less about that. None of that is important. What she's here for is the support, the stories... We remember the fallen and that's what we're here for," John McLennan said.

All the money raised will be split evenly between the four families.
