Sisters Hana & Destiny hope to find a forever home

Posted: Updated:

On Thursday, December 19, the five-year-old girl you meet in this Adopt 8 will turn six. And the best birthday present she could receive would be the gift of a forever home for her and her sister.

If five-year-old Destiny and her big sister Hana could write their own storybook ending, it would include a forever family. The girls are yearning for direction and a dedicated family to help them continue to thrive.

Ten-year-old Hana is an exceptional student. She says she likes just about everything about school – her favorite being attending the computer lab. She also gets good grades. In fact, this fifth grader has tested into the gifted and talented education program.

"Hana was actually, at her prior school she was a Gate Student and was doing really well. She does excellent in all her classes," said Protective Services Worker, Sara Otto.

And Hana even tutors other kids.

"She's committed to her class work, and also committed to teaching other students in the classroom if they need help," continued Otto.

While Destiny is just beginning her school years.

"Destiny just started kindergarten and she really enjoys going to school. She especially likes to visit with friends. It's still kind of a social hour for her," explained Otto.

The two sisters are bonded and have always had each other.

"They've been together forever, they've been together the whole time. Right now, they're together in a placement and they're doing well. They're happy. They love each other," said Otto.

Hana and Destiny are hoping the New Year brings them a new loving home.

"A two parent household with some kids and they have to have an animal. She said it's not a must, but she would like an animal and she really likes dogs," Otto noted.

A family that can give these girls the unconditional love they deserve and give them a big reason to smile.
