SAN DIEGO (CNS) - San Diego State University police Thursday were on the lookout for two men who tried to rob a student on campus.
The men approached the student in the 5600 block of Lindo Paseo on the southwest edge of campus near some student condos, around 10:15 p.m. Wednesday and asked for his wallet and cellphone, according to SDSU police.
One of the would-be robbers pushed the student and the other claimed to have a gun, though no weapon was seen, police said.
The student ran away and the suspects fled empty-handed in an unknown direction.
Police were on the lookout for two Hispanic men, each around 20 years old and 5 feet 8 to 5 feet 9 inches tall. One of them had long hair and a thin build, and was wearing a red shirt and green camouflage shorts, police said, noting the other wore a dark colored shirt and gray or black pants.
