SAN DIEGO (CNS) - A bank inside a Torrey Highlands grocery store was robbed Saturday and a suspect was later arrested following a vehicle stop, a police officer said.

The suspect passed a demand note to a teller around 1:40 p.m. at the U.S. Bank inside the Albertsons grocery store at 7895 Highlands Village Place, was given an undisclosed amount then drove off in a silver PT Cruiser with no license plates, San Diego police Officer Frank Cali said.

Shortly after, a responding officer spotted a vehicle that matched that description headed south on Interstate 5 and pulled the driver over near Tecolote Road, Cali said.

Police took Victor Moore, 32, into custody and he was positively identified, Cali said.
