Posted: Updated:

POWAY (CBS 8) - There's a CrimeFighters Alert for an armed robber who made off with about $17,000 in iPhones.

The San Diego County Sheriff's Department released these surveillance pictures of the crook. He walked into a Sprint store on Poway Road last Tuesday, pulled a gun and ordered the employees to place the phones into a bag. He then herded the clerks into a restroom and left.

The robber is described as a black man in his late 30s, 6 feet tall and weighs between 160 and 180 pounds.

If you have information, call the sheriff's department or Crime Stoppers.
