SAN DIEGO (CBS 8) - We're seeing the effects of that storm right here in San Diego, with several flight delays and cancellations at Lindbergh Field.
As of about an hour ago, there were 40 flights delayed and nine flights canceled.
Travelers at Lindbergh Field say they're not eager to leave the beautiful weather here in San Diego to head back home.
"There's about two feet of snow in Chicago and there's been a lot of cancellations so I'm just praying that we make it back on time and safely," traveler Pink Dorsey said.
Airport officials say most of the canceled flights are due to the extreme weather in the northeast and the south.
