JACUMBA HOT SPRINGS (CNS) - A person in a wheelchair trying to cross Old Highway 80 in Jacumba Hot Springs in eastern San Diego County was struck by a vehicle and killed Monday, California Highway Patrol officials said.
The crash happened about 6:35 p.m. in the 44600 block of Old Highway 80, according to the CHP.
Additional details were not immediately available.
A preliminary hearing is scheduled Tuesday for a former San Diego police officer accused of groping four women during pat-down searches last year.
