SAN DIEGO (CBS 8) - The driver of a car hit by a trolley was rushed to the hospital Monday morning.
Around 10:30 a.m. a Monte Carlo ran a red light at 1st Avenue and C Street and was hit by the trolley.
One of the trolley passengers spoke to CBS News 8 about the crash and said the accident happened very fast:
"He hit him so quick. The driver told me that the train weighs 320,000 pounds with four cars on it. He's lucky to be alive."
As of this report, there is no word yet on the driver's condition. No other injuries were reported.
