Retailer Helps Veterans in Need
CLINTON, N.Y., Feb. 21, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Clinton Auto Service recently donated more than $1,200 to the Sitrin Military Rehabilitation Program in New Hartford, N.Y. to help injured veterans and service members with their rehabilitation and civilian re-entry needs.
"We appreciate our customers and wanted to find a way to show our thanks by giving back to our community. We know the important role that the Sitrin Military Rehabilitation Program plays in assisting military service members and veterans," said Rick Wollin, owner of Clinton Auto Service. "We feel honored to be able to support these veterans who have done so much for our country. We hope our donation makes a difference in their lives and the lives of their families."
The Sitrin Military Rehabilitation Program is specifically designed to treat individuals with post-traumatic stress, post-acute substance abuse, orthopedic diagnoses, traumatic brain injuries, spinal cord injuries, multiple trauma and central and peripheral vestibular diseases. The program promotes resiliency and reintegration through a variety of daily treatment regimens and it incorporates a combination of therapies and activities.
Clinton Auto Service raised the donation by contributing a portion of every automotive maintenance repair and service invoice last November. The Sitrin Military Rehabilitation Program is one of many charities that the company supports. It has also engaged with the Toys for Tots Foundation, Steven's Swan Humane-Society, and Care Car Clinics, where they teach women general auto mechanic skills.
