SDPD looking for Midway bank robbery suspect

Posted: Updated:

SAN DIEGO (CNS) - A thin man with blond chin whiskers used a demand note to rob a Midway District credit union office Friday, San Diego police said.

The suspect, who appeared to be 50 to 60 years old, handed the written message to a teller at Point Loma Credit Union in the 3700 block of Sports Arena Boulevard shortly before noon, according to San Diego police Officer Frank Cali.

He fled the area to the east with an undisclosed amount of cash, Cali said.

The suspect was described as slim, about 5 feet 10 inches tall, with a light-colored goatee. He was wearing khaki pants, a brown or tan plaid shirt, a red beanie with a visor and gold earrings in both ears, Cali said.
