SAN DIEGO (CBS 8) - Check your wiper blades, tire tread, roll up your windows and turn off sprinklers. Although forecast models indicate rain arriving Wednesday night, I have a feeling this will show up earlier than advertised.
We are already seeing moderate rain at Vandenberg Air Force Base which is about 185 miles NW as the crow flies. Could see rain as soon as 3:00 p.m. Wednesday, possibly dampening the roads for going home commute.
A stronger storm will show up Friday morning with heavy rain on and off, strong winds and chance for thunderstorms.
Local ski resorts will finally get well-deserved snow through the weekend too.
The rain will move out in time for your Monday morning commute.
