No bail for man accused of beating ex-wife with brick

CHULA VISTA (CBS 8) - A San Gabriel man accused of beating his ex-wife with a brick is being held without bail and awaiting a psych evaluation.

On Wednesday, Rand Huffman allegedly attacked his ex-wife at a home in Chula Vista.

He is facing multiple charges including attempted, premeditated murder, torture, and causing great bodily harm. If convicted on all charges, he faces life in prison, plus six years.

His ex-wife has undergone multiple surgeries since the attack and remains in critical condition.
