Local woman adds her jewelry to Oscar swag bag

Posted: Updated:

(CBS 8) - A local jeweler will be leaving her mark on Hollywood this weekend, as she contributes some of her work to the Oscar swag bag.

Every year, small businesses across the country are given the rare opportunity to get their products into the hands of some of the biggest celebrities in the business.

Jeanne Bridges owns Ma Cherie Boutique in the East Village, and she was asked to create 150 unique pieces for Sunday's big event and there's a chance some of them might make the red carpet.

"If I saw my piece on an actress at the Oscars, I think I'd be pretty stoked. I'm not gonna lie, I'd be like, that's my stuff, right there! That's me!" Bridges told CBS News 8.

Bridges hand makes every piece of jewelry she sells.
