SAN DIEGO (CBS 8) - Who knew fighting cancer could be so much fun? The San Diego County Sheriff's Department is teaming up with the St. Baldrick's Foundation to raise money to fight childhood cancer.

More than 30 law enforcers from numerous agencies raised more than $9,000 Tuesday during the four hour shave-a-thon. Deputies raised donations from the community before going bald.

The St. Baldrick's Foundation has raised more than $188 million for childhood cancer research. More than 300,000 people have shaved their heads for the good cause since 2005.
