Posted: Updated:

ENCINITAS (CNS) - A masked bandit held up a Citibank branch in Encinitas Saturday, sheriff's officials said.

The suspect pointed some type of object at the teller at around 11:40 a.m. at the bank at 113 N. El Camino Real, but it was unclear if it was a weapon, according to sheriff's Lt. Dave Schaller.

The robber ran off with an undisclosed amount, Schaller said.

Sheriff's officials said the suspect was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, a black cap with a white bill, sunglasses and a mask.

If you've ever been stuck sitting in traffic, you've probably seen motorcyclists cutting through lanes and whizzing by. It's a move called lane-splitting, and while it's potentially dangerous, it's perfectly legal.
