SAN DIEGO (CBS 8) - Lifeguards say a woman is thankful to be alive, after a paragliding crash near the Torrey Pines Glider Port.
The woman, who is in her thirties, crash landed hard on the side of a cliff after she caught cross currents in the wind.
Rescue crews brought a stretcher down about 40 feet from the top of the cliff where the woman landed to take her to safety.
