Man wanted in gang sweep arrested in Spring Valley

Posted: Updated:

SAN DIEGO (CBS 8) - A man wanted in connection to last week's major gang sweep was arrested Tuesday after a brief standoff in Spring Valley.

An FBI SWAT team was called to an apartment on Kenwood Drive Tuesday afternoon to apprehend Terrance Carter on a federal warrant. Agents say Carter was uncooperative and refused to come out.

Several other residents were evacuated as agents fired tear gas and flash bangs into the apartment.

Carter was taken into custody after about two hours.
