Jasmine: Lots of energy and a big heart

Posted: Updated:
Breed: American Staffordshire Terrier, cross
Age: 4 years old
Sex: Female
Colors: Tan & White
Adoption Fee: $95.00
Animal ID: 134116

How I arrived at SDHS: I was transferred to the San Diego Humane Society and SPCA from another shelter.

Why I am the one for you: My color is Outgoing Orange! This means I am very friendly, energetic, and active. I would really benefit and love to participate in training. While I’ve been here, I’ve been learning manners (a.k.a. “petiquette”) and have made leaps in bounds! (Not literally, or course, since jumping up is one behavior that I am working on! I just get so happy to see you, it’s hard to not jump for joy!!) Since I’ve got a lot of energy and sometimes don’t know my size, it would be good if any children in the home were a bit older, and sturdy! The biggest and strongest part of me, however, is my HEART. I am a very sweet and beautiful girl – and I hope to meet you soon!!

Other things you should know about me: My adoption fee includes my spay / neuter, current vaccinations, permanent microchip identification, a certificate for a free veterinary exam, a gift from Hill's Science Diet, a license if residing in Oceanside or Vista, and limited veterinary medical coverage from VCA Hospitals up to $250!!

I am currently available for adoption at:

Call it the green-eyed monster. A new study being done at UC San Diego suggests that jealous isn't just a human emotion – it extends to our four-legged friends as well.

Is your lawn turning brown? Is your water bill too high? No doubt, you're like many Californians contending with the drought.
