ESCONDIDO (CBS 8) - Police are searching for a man who robbed a Bank of America in Escondido.

Surveillance photos of the robbery have been released of the bank in the 1300 block of East Valley Parkway Monday.

Authorities say the man entered the bank just before 2:00 p.m. and gave a teller a demand note. After receiving money, the man left the bank and walked away.

Witnesses described the suspect, who appeared to be in his late 40s to early 50s, as a roughly 5-foot-6-inch, 170-pound white man with light-brown facial hair and a tattoo on his right forearm. He was wearing jeans, a gray-blue short-sleeve shirt, blue-and-white tennis shoes and a dark-blue baseball cap, the FBI reported.

Anyone with information in this case, is asked to call the Escondido Police Department.
