SAN DIEGO (CBS 8) - The 911 tapes have just been released of a Marine Reservist who was arrested at the border, after making a wrong turn.

"I'm at the border of Mexico right now. My problem is I crossed the border by accident and I have three guns in my truck, and they're trying to take my guns from me.”

“So you're in Mexico.”

“Yeah.”

“There's nothing I can do for you. I do apologize"

Andrew Tahmooressi was arrested at the San Ysidro border crossing on April 1 and he remains jailed in Mexico.

His first court date in Mexico is set for May 28.

Congressman Duncan Hunter is hoping to speed up the legal process and is in contact with Mexican authorities.
