Posted: Updated:

SAN DIEGO (CNS) - The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in San Diego County dropped Sunday for the 19th consecutive day, decreasing eight-tenths of a cent to $4.155.

The average price has dropped 13.8 cents over the past 19 days, including six-tenths of a cent on Saturday, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service. It is 5 cents less than a week ago and 11.7 cents lower than one month ago, but 9.1 cents higher than one year ago.

The dropping prices follow a five-day streak of increases that pushed the average price to its highest amount since Feb. 27, 2013.
