NATIONAL CITY (CNS/CBS 8) - National City police have arrested a man suspected of sexually assaulting a 17-year-old girl on an MTS bus last week.

The assailant boarded the Metropolitan Transit System vehicle at a depot on 24th Street in National City about 7:30 a.m. Wednesday, sat next to the victim and fondled her, according to police.

When the girl tried to move away, the man blocked her way and continued assaulting her until he was thrown off the bus by the driver.

Late Tuesday afternoon, an MTS officer spotted a man matching the suspect's description near a trolley stop downtown.

The man, identified as 27-year-old Dajamah Blevins, was arrested on sexual battery charges.
