Woman suspected of murdering wife, taking dogs

Posted: Updated:

SAN DIEGO (CNS) - Authorities asked the public Thursday for help in finding a woman suspected of fatally bludgeoning her wife at their San Carlos apartment.

Tiffany Nowden-Vale, 39, has been at large since last Thursday, when 38-year-old Russina Vale was found dead in their residence in the 7700 block of Mission Gorge Road, according to San Diego police. Vale had suffered blunt-force injuries to her upper body, homicide Lt. Mike Hastings said.

Nowden-Vale is a 5-foot-9-inch, roughly 190-pound black woman with brown hair and brown eyes. She may have the victim's two missing dogs, named Bella and Scruffy, with her, according to investigators.

Anyone with information about the case was asked to call San Diego Crime Stoppers at (888) 580-8477 or contact the agency online at sdcrimestoppers.com. Tipsters may remain anonymous and could be eligible for a reward of up to $1,000.
