OCEANSIDE (CNS/CBS 8) - Firefighters from at least five San Diego jurisdictions were battling a brush fire on the Oceanside-Carlsbad border Sunday morning, a fire dispatcher said.

The fire was on the eastbound Ronald Packard (78) Parkway east of El Camino Real on the border of Oceanside and Carlsbad, a dispatcher with the North County Dispatch Joint Powers Authority said. It was reported shortly before midnight.

Firefighters from Oceanside, Carlsbad, San Marcos, Vista and Cal Fire Monte Vista were on the scene, she said.

The fire burned about two to three acres and was knocked down Sunday morning. No structures were damaged and no injuries were reported, the dispatcher said.
