18-year-old hit & killed by truck in Mission Bay

SAN DIEGO (CNS) - A pedestrian was killed in the Mission Bay area, a police sergeant said Sunday.

The accident was reported at 10:23 p.m. Saturday in the 1700 block of East Mission Bay Drive, said San Diego police Sgt. David E. Jennings.

"An 18-year-old pedestrian was illegally crossing 1700 E. Mission Bay Drive. A southbound Chevrolet pickup truck collided with the pedestrian," Jennings said. "The pedestrian died from his injuries. The Traffic Division is investigating," he said.
