Arrest, arraignment in San Carlos murder

SAN DIEGO (CBS 8) - A San Carlos woman is set to be arraigned Wednesday morning for the alleged murder of her wife three weeks ago.

The body of 38-year-old Russina Vale was found in the couple's San Carlos apartment on June 5th in the 7700 block of Mission Gorge Road. She was found with stab wounds to her upper body.

Tuesday, police arrested 39-year-old Tiffany Nowden-Vale at a home on Market Street in Sherman Heights.

Police have not disclosed a motive

Nowden was expected to be booked into Las Colinas women's jail in Santee on suspicion of murder, homicide Lt. Mike Hastings said. She is being held without bail. Vale and the suspect were married Dec. 3, according to the latter's Facebook page.
