All lanes of Miramar Road re-opened after crash

SAN DIEGO (CBS 8) - All lanes are back open along Miramar Road, after a car slammed into a big rig around early Thursday morning.

The crash happened at the intersection of Miramar Road and Camino Ruiz around 4:00 a.m. Police and fire crews reported that a man was driving a Toyota westbound on Miramar Road when he struck the back of a semi-truck.

Rescue teams had to pull the trapped driver from the wreckage, who was transported to a local hospital with a minor injury to his head. The condition of the driver hasn’t been released.

A SigAlert was issued following the crash but was later lifted.
