Fourth of July Transportation and Tips

Posted: Updated:
TRANSPORTATION:

This Fourth of July, the Metropolitan Transit System will be running on a Sunday Schedule.

The Coaster will be running on a Saturday schedule. The Sprinter and Breeze will offer a Sunday/holiday service schedule.

FOURTH OF JULY TIPS:

Pack the car the night before and head to preferred location EARLY. Parking for Fourth of July at beach locations can be hectic and difficult.

If possible, bike/walk to location or carpool.

Avoid traffic by getting to location early, and leaving location early. If you don’t want to be stuck in bumper to bumper traffic after the firework show, get on the road 5-10 minutes early or earlier.

Bring a light and portable blanket to sit/lay on if seating isn’t provided. (Easier to carry if moving around a lot)

Bring portable speakers and a custom patriotic playlist if music isn’t provided for a more enjoyable firework display/day of celebration.

Water and sunscreen are also essential to keep you protected and hydrated though out the day.

Bring a change of clothes. Once evening hits after a long day at the beach, a damp bathing suit isn't going to feel good.
