Local singers raise their voices for Parkinson's

SAN DIEGO (CBS 8) - A local singing group is teaming up with a member of a 70s supergroup to bring hope to people living with Parkinson's disease.

The Tremble Cleffs are a group of singers, some of whom have been diagnosed with Parkinson's, who provide music therapy for local nursing home patients.

Sheldon Reynolds, a member of Earth, Wind and Fire who is also living with the disease, heard about the group and asked them to sing back-up on a song on his new album.

"I figured if I'm going to deal with it, let me help somebody else deal with it better than me. It will make people happy and give them inspiration so they know they're not alone in this world with ailments like this," Reynolds said.

The album is scheduled to be released in September.
