Man shot during house party in Oak Park

SAN DIEGO (CNS) - A man was wounded in his shoulder while attending a San Diego party early Sunday morning, a police officer said.

The shooting was reported at midnight during a party at 6524 Lemarand Ave., said San Diego police Officer David Stafford.

"Two vehicles drove up to the party and the occupants exited the vehicles. They started fighting with the people at the party," Stafford said. A man believed to be about 19 years old fired three to five shots from a handgun at the crowd of people then got into one of the vehicles and fled the scene, the officer said.

Later, a 35-year-old man showed up at Alvarado Hospital with a gunshot wound to the right shoulder, Stafford said. "The injury is non-life-threatening," he said.
