SAN DIEGO (CNS) - An argument over money led to an attack this morning on a San Diego man inside his apartment that left him with non-life-threatening stab wounds, a police officer said.

The incident occurred at 2 a.m. in the 7300 block of Tooma Street, said San Diego police Officer David Stafford.

A 30-year-old man was inside his apartment when five males and one female came in and started fighting with him over money, Stafford said. One of the suspects started firing gunshots.

"The group then started beating up the victim. One of the suspects assaulted the victim with a cutting instrument. The victim suffered slicing wounds to his chest, stomach and biceps and was transported to Mercy Hospital," he said. The wounds were not believed life-threatening.
