MISSION BEACH (CBS 8) - A 3-year-old child suffered minor injuries Saturday after being run over by a car.

The accident happened in the 700 block of Dover Court this morning in south Mission Beach.

Investigators say a woman was backing her car out of her driveway when she hit the child and knocked him to the ground.

The boy appeared to be more scared than hurt but he was taken to the hospital for treatment.
