SAN DIEGO (CNS) - The 26-year-old man killed in a motorcycle crash near Marine Corps Air Station Miramar died from "massive internal injuries," a police officer said Wednesday.
The rider was headed east in the 8600 block of Miralani Drive near Camino Ruiz at a high rate of speed shortly after 12:30 p.m. Tuesday, struck a curb and lost control, San Diego police Officer Dan Lasher said.
He was thrown from the motorcycle into an electrical box, Lasher said. He died at the scene.
The motorcyclist's name was withheld pending family notification.
