On July 15, mystery and thriller publisher Le French Book is releasing another block-buster French thriller in paperback, The Bleiberg Project. It's perfect July escape reading, packed with action.

New York, NY (PRWEB) July 15, 2014

World War II action, mad scientists and secret agents, what more could you want from a thriller? Now in paperback, The Bleiberg Project, is the first book in the Consortium thriller series, which offers a roller-coaster ride that dips into history and races through a modern-day loop-to-loop of action and humor. Think Highlander meets James Bond.

"One of those thrillers with both non-stop action and depth, The Bleiberg Project was an overnight hit in France," says publisher Anne Trager. "After a successful run in English as an eBook, we're pleased to bring it out in paperback."

Depressive Wall Street trader Jeremy Corbin is having a bad week when he finds out his long-lost father is dead, his mother is gunned down, and his mentor puts him on a plane to Zurich. He's got a German medallion in his pocket, a hot CIA agent at his side, and a clearly dangerous Mossad agent on his tail. What had his dad uncovered? Can the conspiracy be stopped?

For author David Khara, "Jeremy embodies the disease of the twenty-first century; easy money and disrespect for others, while Jackie is a 'girl power' character, and Eytan is... well, Eytan. No spoilers from me."

French author David Khara, a former journalist, top-level athlete, and entrepreneur, is a full-time writer. Khara wrote his first novela vampire thrillerin 2010, before starting his Consortium thriller series. The first in the series, The Bleiberg Project, was an instant success in France, catapulting Khara into the ranks of France's top thriller writers.

Translator Simon John was born in the United Kingdom. After graduating from Cambridge University, he stage-managed and produced theatre for two years. A quest for wine, women and goat cheese led him to Paris, where he began working in film production and translation. While his focus has been on translating and subtitling movies, such as Michael Hanekes Palme dOr-winner Love and blockbusters Taken 1 and 2, Simon has also translated for Yasmina Réza, the art magazine LOfficiel Art and gardening manuals. After twenty fertile years and 3,713 goat cheese salads in Paris, he is now based in Berlin.

A solid thriller.
-Publishers Weekly

Kharas thriller, with its pared-down prose, pell-mell pace, and extreme brevity, might remind some of Ian Flemings Bond novels or Adam Halls Quiller series a quick read to be savored.
-Library Journal

A unique, exceptional thriller a phenomenon.
-TV host Gérard Collard

This book kept me completely involved from the first page. The suspense is incredible.
