SAN DIEGO (CNS/CBS 8) - A man in his 20s was hospitalized in unknown condition after being found naked on a sidewalk in the Normal Heights neighborhood with broken ribs and stab wounds, police said Friday.

The victim was found bleeding from his chest on the 3100 block of Adams Avenue, near the northbound lanes of the Jacob Dekema (805) Freeway at around 10:25 p.m. on Thursday, according to San Diego Police Department Officer David Stafford.

"He had suffered at least one stab wound to the chest and multiple contusion injuries. It appeared that he had been beaten and stabbed and possibly dropped off at this location," SDPD Lt. Paul Rorrison said.

The victim was naked and didn't have any identification on him. At this time, police do not know who he is.
